Fun Facts about Our Area

San Antonio is the 10th largest city in the country and continues to be a popular hotspot. In fact, from 2000-2010, San Antonio was the fastest growing city in the United States. It was the second fastest from 1990-2000. 

According to the 2013 Economic Impact Study, over twenty million tourists visited San Antonio that year and contributed over thirteen billion dollars to the city's economy. The hospitality industry in the area employs 94,000 residents.

Church’s Chicken, the fourth largest chicken restaurant in the United States, first opened for business in San Antonio as Church’s Fried Chicken to Go.

Mark Twain once said, "There are only four unique cities in the United States: New Orleans, San Antonio, Boston and San Francisco."
